The Dollar strengthening continues currently. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, gained 0.5% on Wednesday.

Both EUR/USD and GBP/USD continued their retreating yesterday. Both Pound and euro are lower against the dollar currently. USD/JPY retained its climbing while AUD/USD continued sliding on Wednesday with both the yen and the Australian dollar lower against the Greenback currently.

The US stock index futures are mixed currently ahead of unemployment claims and producer prices data at 17:30 CET today. US stocks closed mixed on Wednesday with the three main US stock benchmarks recording daily returns in a range from -0.26% to 0.1% as the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose in October in line with market expectations with treasury yields rise buoying dollar to one year high.

European stock indexes futures are mixed currently after closing lower on Wednesday with tech shares leading losses. Asian stock indexes futures are mixed currently with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index leading losses.

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) will release its US inventory data at 19:30 CET today. The US oil benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures added 0.5% and is little changed currently. Brent crude gained 0.5% to $72.28 a barrel on Wednesday.
