McDonalds Technical Analysis

The technical analysis of the McDonald's stock price chart on 4-hour timeframe shows #S-MCD,H4 is retracing down to test the 200-period moving average MA(200) after hitting all-time high a week ago. RSI is in oversold zone. We believe the bearish momentum will continue after the price breaches below the lower boundary of Donchian channel at 290.79. This level can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to sell. The stop loss can be placed above 302.09. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved every day to the next fractal high, following Parabolic indicator signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level (302.09) without reaching the order (290.79), we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.

Fundamental Analysis of Stocks - McDonalds

McDonald's stock fell after the news several customers fell sick from McDonald's E. coli outbreak. Will the McDonald's stock price retreating persist?

McDonald's Corporation is an American multinational company which operates and franchises restaurants offering food and beverages, including hamburgers and cheeseburgers, sandwiches, fries, soft drinks, coffee and other products. Company’s market capitalization is $209.9 billion. McDonald's stock trades at price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 25.6 for trailing twelve months (ttm). It has generated a Profit Margin of 32.25%, revenue of $25.76 billion over the past 12 months, and Return on Assets (ttm) of 14.11%. McDonald's stock tumbled 5.1% on Wednesday over E. Coli outbreak tied to company’s Quarter Pounders. However, the company and food-safety officials ruled out beef as the source of the E. coli outbreak linked to the chain’s Quarter Pounders, while continue to examine onions served on the burgers. The Quarter Pounders will return to McDonald's menu. The E. coli outbreak has killed at least one person and sickened nearly 75 others, and analysts expect there will be lawsuits against McDonald’s due to the E. coli outbreak. Possibility of hefty fines resulting from expected lawsuits against McDonald's is bearish for McDonald's stock.
