AUD/USD Technical Analysis

The technical analysis of the AUDUSD price chart on 4-hour timeframe shows AUDUSD,H4 is retracing down under the 200-period moving average MA(200) following a rebound to nine-day high two sessions ago. We believe the bearish momentum will continue after the price breaches below the lower bound of the Donchian channel at 0.64864. A level below this can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to sell. The stop loss can be placed above 0.65317. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved to the next fractal high, following Parabolic indicator signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level without reaching the order, we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.

Fundamental Analysis of Forex - AUD/USD

Australia’s private sector activity declined in November. Will the AUDUSD price retreating persist?

Australia’s private sector activity declined at quickest pace in ten months in November. SP Global reported Judo Bank Flash Australia Composite PMI Output Index declined to 49.4 in November, from 50.2 in October. Readings above 50.0 indicate industry activity expansion, below indicate contraction. The private sector business activity downturn was again driven by the first reduction in services activity for ten months and a sustained contraction in manufacturing. Services new business growth slowed after having been solid at the start of the fourth quarter, thereby leading to the drop in services activity. Manufacturing output meanwhile completed two years of continuous monthly declines. Average input prices rose at their slowest pace in four years. Deterioration in Australian private business activity is bearish for Australian dollar and the AUDUSD currency pair.

Currency Pair AUDUSD | Forex | Major

The Australian dollar (AUD, “Aussie”) is the 5th most traded currency in the world. The issuer is the Reserve Bank of Australia.

  • Is actively applied in currency exchange and trading operations, as Australia supports high interest rates, as a rule.
  • Is affected by trading relations with Japan, China and the United States
  • Refers to "commodity" currencies, as the economy of Australia highly depends on commodity export (particularly on gold and other metals mining)
